Maria Vanscoy, Tax Accountant
My name is Maria de Lourdes Vanscoy. I have worked actively in accounting for the past 8 years. My experiences in public accounting include preparing tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts, and estates, as well as small business bookkeeping. I am originally from Ecuador where I started working in banking at an early age.
My first experience in the financial field was at a national bank and later at an international bank in the treasury department. After moving to USA and getting married, my husband and I ran an import/export business for many years; that opened a wonderful opportunity to raise our two kids.
Ten years ago, I merited my Associates in Accounting. Currently, I am working towards completing my bachelor’s degree at CSU Global. My aspiration is to continue my studies and become a CPA.
When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling, golfing, gardening, baking, knitting, arts, and crafts.
Kelly Chamberlain, Staff Accountant

I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Accounting at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado in Boulder. I am excited to apply my accounting skills to help Hattig CPA clients with their short and long term business and personal goals. My long term goals are to become a Certified Public Accountant and work in public accounting in either taxation or auditing.
Jessica Elsey, Administrative
I was born right here in Longmont and attended Berthoud High School. After high school I moved to Yuma, Arizona where my husband of seven years, Dustin, and I had our first child Payton. We moved back to Longmont after his service for the Marines was finished. We had our second child, Ryker who is now 1 and Payton is 5.
I obtained my associates degree from Front Range Community College and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology at Post University. I have always had a passion for serving others, especially children. I have worked with my Mom, Kristi Hattig, for 4 years now, and I get to help her build her dream and be with my family along the way. It is truly a special time in our lives and I enjoy getting to serve others in a different environment, and learning new trades along the way.
Cheryl Witt, Office Manager
Being raised in New Jersey and Nebraska made for an odd combination, but moving back to Nebraska gave my family a chance to be near most of the rest of my relatives. I graduated high school in Lincoln, Nebraska, and went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Nebraska.
The majority of my professional experience comes is in Information Technology. There I have over 20 years of experience working for large corporations in a variety of industries. As an IT Project Manager I have led large cross-functional projects with multi-million-dollar budgets, while managing many vendors, and their contracts. I have also taken time out to be a small business owner here in Longmont.
After 3 years in Texas I happily moved back to Longmont, in October 2019. I’ve known Kristi Hattig for 16 years, and I feel honored to be part of her team.
