Kristi L. Hattig, CPA
I have over 25 years of tax experience and was a Controller and CFO for a non profit and for profit businesses that totaled over 10 years. I have done all of the accounting work from data entry to 401(k) and Cafeteria 125 implementation to meeting with insurance and workman’s compensation advisors and presentation of financial statements to owners and management. I received my CPA license over 10 years ago and have completed thousands of income tax returns ranging from individuals, trusts, S Corporation and LLC income tax returns. I have been a business owner over 13 years and enjoy personally working with the individuals, owners, investors, and/or bookkeepers of each organization. I have an extensive experience in dealership accounting and many start up businesses. I have a background in banking, in which I worked in many different components of the industry including mortgage loans.
I have three beautiful daughters, in which, two of them have been employed recently in my business. Two of my three daughters were on full ride softball scholarships, so we enjoy being active and friendly competition. I enjoy golf, biking, motor cycles, kick boxing, boot camp and crossFit. I enjoy watching/participating in many different sporting activities including the Broncos, Nuggets, and Rockies games.
Kathleen Edmondson, Staff Accountant
I am a fourth generation Colorado native and my children (Allisen 12, and Jackson 1) are 5th generation. However, when talking to me sometimes you hear a southern accent, as my husband of 13 years is from Georgia and we lived there for almost 12 years. While in Georgia I graduated with two degrees (Business Management and Accounting). I graduated with distinction and the top of my class with both degrees, was the president of the National Honor Society, and made it to the final four for the G.O.A.L. (Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership). I was required to do an internship for my accounting degree and was hired as a full-time employee with that firm the first week on the job, and that is where my career as an Accountant started. I joined the Hattig CPA team in November of 2020 after being a stay-at-home mom for almost 2 years. I would love to eventually go back to school to further my education, but my plate is full with work, a toddler, a teenager, and my husband (man baby) these days. I am excited to bring my accounting and management skills to Hattig CPA and having a long and fulfilling career with Kristi and the team!

Jessica Elsey, Administrative
I was born right here in Longmont and attended Berthoud High School. After high school I moved to Yuma, Arizona where my husband of seven years, Dustin, and I had our first child Payton. We moved back to Longmont after his service for the Marines was finished. We had our second child, Ryker who is now 1 and Payton is 5.
I obtained my associates degree from Front Range Community College and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology at Post University. I have always had a passion for serving others, especially children. I have worked with my Mom, Kristi Hattig, for 4 years now, and I get to help her build her dream and be with my family along the way. It is truly a special time in our lives and I enjoy getting to serve others in a different environment, and learning new trades along the way.
